Question: Can I order single tiles or do I have to purchase in case quantities? Answer: Yes you can buy single tiles for 1 to as many as you need. Prices above are single tile prices.
Question: Are the tiles easy to trim Answer: Yes, you need a sharp knife, or blade to trim the pieces. For more install instructions visit our page installation page.
Question: Do I need edges? Answer: The edges are optional transition pieces. They are sold by the foot and available in black or grey. If you're installing a display area you probably want the finished edges all the way around. However if these tiles are being install in a garage or room, you probably only need the edges at any door openings.
Question: Can I install over an old floor, or uneven surface? Answer: Yes you can install over old flooring. There is no special preparation to the sub floor except to sweep and clear debris that you don't want to remain under the tile.
For an uneven surface, the tile is pliable enough it should bend with an uneven surface. You may want to purchase a small quantity of tiles to lay over the surface to be sure it will work in your situation.
Question: Are these tiles stain proof. Answer: Some chemicals can stain the tile if left for a period of time. For more information on chemical resistance visit our Specs page, or for cleaning your floor we have details on our installation page for maintenance.
Question: Do I need to purchase Tireguard or Tilecote to apply to my tiles? Answer: These products are optional - if you would like a shinny floor or to seal the tile against all staining then the Tilecote88 would be recommended. We normally only recommend these products for applications of heavy traffic, or some industrial applications. It's unnecessary for most residential installs.
